Spoken Communications Acquired By Avaya

Seattle-based Spoken Communications, which provides contact center services and software, has been acquired by Silicon Valley's Avaya. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. Avaya said that it will use Spoken's artificial intelligence and other intellectual property to help it as it moves into big data, machine learning, and AI. Spoken was venture backed by Ignition Partners, Riverwood Capital, and others.
