Zayo Adds Customer For Umatilla To Reno Route

Bandwidth provider bandwidth provider Zayo Group Holdings reported today that it has signed a new "webscale" customer for its Reno to Umatilla route, which it is currently constructing. Size of the win was not announced, and neither was the customer's name. However, the biggest "webscale" company in Umatilla is Amazon.com, which is the home of a number of Amazon data centers. Reno is one of the next closest hops for major data center connectivity out of the region, and itself is the site of a Apple data center, a data center run by Switch which reportedly the largest data center in the world, and a massive data center owned by Rackspace.
