Itron Wins Deal In Jordan

Liberty Lake-based smart utility meter maker Itron reported this week that it has signed a new deal in the country of Jordan, where the Jordan Water Company (Miyahuna) will buy 76,000 of its ultrasonic meters and software. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Itron said the meters will be used as part of a "non-revenue water" reduction plan in the country, which will help optimize water loss reduction by detecting network conditions and water consumption, detecting temperatures, leaks or unusual usage patterns.
