    Strands Launches Recommendation Tool


    Corvallis, Oregon-based Strands said today that it has launched a new, recommendation engine for use by ecommerce web sites, Strands Social Recommender. Strands said the new software helps ecommerce web sites offer personalized recommendations of new products and content that users might like, and help to increase online sales. According to Strands, the new product can be installed through its API, or through personalization widgets on a retailers site, and will be available either through a fixed monthly subscription or through a combination of a fixed fee and revenue share.
