SweetSpot Diabetes Care Raises Funds

Portland, Oregon-based SweetSpot Diabetes Care, a startup focus on using data from patient devices to improve diabetes care, said Tuesday that it has raised a round of initial funding. Amount of the funding was not disclosed. The round came from individual investors, including Dick Sass, the founder of minimally invasive glucose monitoring firm iSense. The company also said that Bill Trenchard and Alan Lefkof participated in the funding; Trenchard is CEO of Readyforce, and Lefkof is a Corporate VP and GM at Motorola. SweetSpot is headed by Christopher Logan. As part of the funding, the firm said that Lefkof joins the company's board. More information »
