Tableau Software Backs Paxata

Seattle-based Tableau Software has backed a developer of data analysis and parsing tools, as part of a strategic partnership. Silicon Valley-based Paxata said today that it has raised $8M in a Series B funding, led by Accel Partners, and which also included a strategic partnership with Tableau. The firm develops software to help business analysts collect, explore, and make sense of data from big data software like Hadoop. The companies did not say what kind of stake Tableau is taking in Paxata. More information »
