    TeachStreet Expands To Portland

Seattle-based TeachStreet, an online web site focused on connecting teachers and students, has expanded the firm's services to cover Portland, Oregon. TeachStreet said today that the firm's web site will allow residents of Portland to find more than 25,000 classes, instructors, and schools available on the service. Classes features on the site run the gamut from violin lessons, to kayaking classes, to yoga and many others. TeachStreet is backed by venture funding from Madrona Ventures, Bezos Expeditions, and a number of angel investors; the firm's services were originally only available in Seattle.
