    TeachStreet Gains $2.25M


    Seattle-based TeachStreet, an online site focused on connecting teachers and instructors, has raised $2.25M in a Series A venture round led by Madrona Ventures. Other details of the funding were not released. According to Dave Schappell, the firm's founder and CEO, the firm is currently building the product and preparing to launch. Chappell was most recently at Amazon.com, and has served at JibJab and Unitus; CTO Fred Sadaghiani has been at both Zillow and Amazon.
