TerraPower Nabs $35M For Nuclear Power Technology

Bellevue, Washington-based TerraPower, a firm developing nuclear energy technology, has raised $35M in a Series B round, according to the firm's investors. According to Charles River Ventures, it invested in the new funding round for TerraPower, along with Khosla Ventures, Nathan Myhrvold, and Bill Gates. TerraPower is developing nuclear power production technology based on the work of Myhrvold's firm Intellectual Ventures. CRV said that TerraPower now has over 40 full time professionals and 75 technical consultants working on its technology. More information »
