    thePlatform Acquires Chirp Assets, Personnel


    Seattle-based online video publisher thePlatform announced Wednesday that it has acquired certain assets from social media applications developer Chirp Interactive Inc. of San Francisco. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. As a result of the transaction, thePlatform noted, it will gain access to Chirp;s technical development resources, in the form of select personnel who will become thePlatform employees. thePlatform said those individuals will help develop new community and content discovery features for its media-publishing system.
