Topia Launches Cloud Sharing App Skoot

Looking to unify users' varied, cloud-based files, Tacoma, Washington-based Topia Technology said yesterday that it has launched a new application called Skoot, which synchronizes files across a user's devices and services. Topia, which is led by Janine Terrano, said its new app connects PCs, Android, Dropbox, and Google Docs, allowing users to retrieve files and content, regardless of where it's saved. The company said its service costs $4.95 a month for 2GB of space. The firm says its iPhone and iPad software is due in a couple of weeks.
