    TrafficGauge Launches Traffic Widgets

Seattle-based TrafficGauge, a provider of traffic maps and devices, said today that it has launched a new set of widgets that allow people to add the firm's freeway congestion maps to the Windows Vista Sidebar, Mac Dashboards, Google Homepages, or Yahoo's Widget Engine. The firm said that the new, free web "widgets" provide information on traffic flow for major cities. Widgets are small web applications that web page owners, blog owners, or users can add to display information from other web sites. TrafficGauge operates a service that allows users to track traffic congestion, via the web, cell phone, or through the firm's own handheld wireless device.
