![]() Monday, October 6, 2008 TriQuint Gets $4.5M Navy WinHillsboro, Oregon-based TriQuint Semiconductor said today that the firm has scored a $4.5M contract with the Office of Naval Research. According to TriQuint, it has been chosen as a part of a 21-month contract to advance manufacturing methods for producing high-power, high-frequency gallium arsenide (GaAs) amplifiers. Triquint's chips are being used for applications such as phased array radar, electrnoic warfare, and advanced communications systems. Triquint said the work for the Navy will occur at the firm's Richardson, Texas facilities. posted on Monday, October 6, 2008
