![]() Friday, May 23, 2008 TriQuint Semiconductor Completes WJ Communications BuysHillsboro, Oregon-based TriQuint Semiconductor said today that it has completed its acquisition of WJ Communications, a supplier of radio frequency (RF) products for the wireless infrastructure area. The deal, which was originally announced in March, was worth $72M in cash. According to TriQuint, the purchase complements TriQuint's existing portfolio, and also adds new RF design expertise through a new Silicon Valley site. In conjunction with the deal, TriQuint said it issued 870,219 stock options to 132 former WJ employees, 25% of which will vest on the first quarter and the rest over the next 10 years.
