TriQuint Shows Handset Modules
Hillsboro, Oregon-based TriQuint Semiconductor has rolled out two new integrated modules for handsets, the firm said this week. The new pair of products are used for creating WEDGE (WCDMA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE) and HEDGE (HSDPA/WCDMA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE) handsets. TriQuint's new chips are compatible with QUALCOMM's Mobile Station Modem chipsets, and provide power amplifiers, RF filtering, and other functionality for handset designers.
