    Tyfone Secures Funds from Indian Investor


    Tyfone Inc., a developer of a software and hardware platform for the banking industry, announced Sunday that it has concluded a round of venture financing after securing an undisclosed amount of funds from an offshore investor. Tyfone specified just one investor—Ojas Venture Partners, an India-based venture capital firm specializing in technology start-ups. Tyfone said it will use the money to grow its mobile banking, mobile payments and retail merchant relationship businesses. Tyfone's U.S. corporate headquarters are located in Portland, Ore. The company also maintains an Asia headquarters in Bangalore, India.
