Under Armour Looks To Invade Nike's Turf With Acquisition

In what looks like a battle shaping up between Portland fitness giant Nike and competitor Under Armour, Under Armour has acquired a maker of sports tracking software, MapMyFitness. Under Armour said it paid $150M for MapMyFitness, which makes a line of popular software for tracking sports like running, bicycling, and more. The move comes as Nike has been ramping its efforts to become a connected device company with its FuelBank products, which connect with Under Armour's new acquisition.
