    Uptake Raises $9M


    Seattle-based Uptake Medical, which is developing medical technologies for the treatment of emphysema, has received $9M in a Series A funding. The round was led by Prism Venture Partners, and also included GBS Venture Partners, Onset Ventures, Affinity Capital, and WRF Capital. Arboretum Ventures, the company's seed investor, also participated. Uptake said it would use the funding for pre-clinical development of its technology.
