Urban Airship Partners With Game Mechanics Company

Portland-based Urban Airship said last week that it has tied with a provider of online game mechanics and virtual goods management services, Roar Engine. The firm said the strategic partnership and product integration will provide game develops with everything they need to deploy mobile games with "audience engagement and monetization capabilities". Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Urban Airship is providing push messaging services for Roar Engine's services. Roar Engine's software is used by developers to drive engagement with apps, including leaderboards, player matches, and more.
