Urban Airship Snags Skype Exec

Portland-based Urban Airship, which develops mobile notification software for mobile app providers, has snagged a former Skype executive as its new Chief Revenue Officer. The firm has hired Christopher Dean, who formerly had been Chief Strategy Officer and head of business development at Skype. Urban Airship is backed by Intel Capital, Salesforce.com, Founders Co-op, The Foundry Group, True Ventures, and Verizon.
