Urbanspoon Taps Top Chefs For New Restaurant Guides

Seattle-based restaurant discovery and reservations service Urbanspoon has turned to professional chefs to help launch its newest feature, a way for users to create their own, personal list of their favorite restaurants. The firm said its new "Guides" feature will include chefs such as Michael Mina, Bradley Ogden, Geoffrey Zakarian, Richard Blais, Kathy Casey, Thierry Rautureau and others, who have created their own guides to their favorite restaurants. The new feature allows any of the users of the service to create their own personal dining favorites lists. The move, according to Urbanspoon, it to allow users to quickly view the best restaurants, as ranked by users, without having to wade through pages and pages of user reviews. Urbanspoon said the new feature is available for free in its latest release, in the iTunes store.
