    Verdiem Hires Jaech As CEO


    Seattle-based Verdiem, a developer of software for reducing energy consumption of office PCs, said Wednesday that the firm has hired on Jerey Jaech as CEO. Jaech has served as CEO at Trumba and Visio. Jaech replaces Kevin Kluster, who was Verdiem's CEO since March of 2006. Veredeim develops a software product which manages the energy consumption of personal computers in corporate networks; the firm offers a free tool for consumers, Edison, as well as a corporate version called Surveyor. Verdiem is venture backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, The Westly Group, Phoenix Partners, Falcon Partners, Catamount Ventures, Angeleno Group, and individual investors.
