Vulcan Capital Backs Second Life Creator's New Startup

Seattle-based venture investor Vulcan Capital, Paul Allen's investment firm, has backed the founder of Second Life in another virtual world venture. High Fidelity disclosed this week that it has raised $11M in a new funding round, led by Vulcan Capital, for its open source software for creating virtual worlds. High Fidelity's software makes it easier to deploy virtual worlds in the cloud, share computers, and scale out all the parts of a virtual world.
