Walk Score Gets $1.7M

Seattle-based Walk Score, the developer of software to calculate the "walkability" of neighborhoods and homes, has raised $1.7M, part of an ongoing, $2.35M funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the company. Details on the funding have not been announced by the company. Walk Score is headed by Josh Herst. The firm develops software which calculates how easy it is to walk around a neighborhood, based on proximity to amenities, public transportation, and other factors, to help users figure out the best places to buy homes, rent an apartment, or live.
