WatchGuard Acquires Canadian Firm

Seattle-based WatchGuard Technologies, a manufacturer of security appliances for the networking market, said today that it is acquiring Toronto, Canada-based BorderWare Technologies. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to WatchGuard, it will use the buy to accelerate its business. BorderWare develops email and web security products aimed at the mid-size enterprise, government, and service providers. BorderWare has 90 employees, and was founded in 1994.
