Weckey Takes On Smart Lobby Reception

Liberty Lake-based Telect, which manufactures copper, fiber, power, and rack network infrastructure equipment, has spun out and funded its own iPad startup, Weckey, the company said today, to take on the "reception-less" lobby. According to Telect, Weckey is developing iPad systems which let guests of companies sign into a lobby on an iPad, taking photos of visitors and time stamping visits. Telect said it made an investment in Weckey as part of the spinout. Size of that investment was not announced. Weckey was co-invented by Telect President and CEO Wayne Williams, and is being lead by Mitch Williams.
