WhitePages Puts $2.5M Into Web Site Redesign
Seattle-based WhitePages, an online provider of people search services, unveiled its new web site today, saying that it invested $2.5M in a website overhaul for the firms' services. The firm, which has been around since 1997, said the new design will help the firm to "aggressively" grow its traffic, membership, and advertising revenue. The major changes include a switch to a more, Web 2.0-style look and feel from the firm's previous styling, plus a new color palette and logo, as well as switch to Rub on Rails. The company also said it has added a new feature which allows users to create and manage their own profiles.
