Seattle-based Pelago, the makers of the Whrrl mobile social networking software and service, said Monday afternoon that it has launched its software for Android powered devices. Whrrl said the new software is available for download from the Android marketplace. The new app supports the same features as the firm's other versions, including check-ins, sharing photos, tagging of users, Whrrl "societies", and ability to earn points in the system. Whrrl previously only ran on Apple iPhone and BlackBerry devices.
