Widevine Wins Boxee

Seattle-based Widevine, a provider of digital rights management (DRM) software, said today that it has added Boxee as a customer. Widevine said it would provide its adaptive streaming and DRM products to Boxee's software platform. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. Boxee develops home entertainment software which runs on either PCs or on TVs, Blue-Ray players, game consoles, and set top boxes, allowing users to watch movies, television shows, and more.
