Seattle-based Mpire, which operates WidgetBucks, an advertising network focused on web widgets, said Wednesday afternoon that it has raised $10M in a Series B funding. The round was led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and also included prior investor Ignition Partners. According to the firm, the funding will allow it to "expand (its) vision" as an ad network. Mpire publishes widget software which can be added by web page owners to show advertising and shopping into their web sites; the firm then shares ad revenues with those web page owners.
