![]() Wednesday, July 9, 2008 Xenocode Revs Virtualization SoftwareSeattle-based Xenocode said Wednesday that the firm has upgraded the firm's virtualization software, Xenocode Virtual Application Studio 2008. Xenocode's software is used to develop stand-alone software which does not require external libraries, device drivers, or other support software. According to Xenocode, the upgraded software now can import external packaged applications from VMware ThinApp/Thininstall, allow for communicating between virtualization applications, and created a new site licensing program. Xenocode's software is used by developers to package applications in a single executable, regardless of what other software is installed on a computer system--the software competes with VMware's ThinApp/Thininstall software, which VMware acquired in January. posted on Wednesday, July 9, 2008
