    Zynchros Rolls New Web Service


    Seattle-based Zynchros said today that it has rolled out a new, software-as-a-service offering for health plan web sites. According to the firm, its new service, the Member Forumulary Hosting product, allows health plans to query information in its system without a programing effort. The new API--based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)--can be used by health plans to give their members information about pharmaceuticals, lower-cost alternatives, and information about benefits available for those drugs. Details on the cost of the service to health plans was not announced. Zynchros is a provider of hosted software for the pharmacy management and health plan market.
