Apptio Ties With ServiceNow

Seattle-based Apptio, the developer of data center management software headed by Sunny Gupta, has inked a new partnership with software-as-a-service, IT management firm ServiceNow, the firm said Thursday. The two said they are working together to integrate Apptio IT Service Costing, IT Service Performance, and IT Planning applications with ServiceNow Service Catalog, Service Portfolio, CMDB, and Project and Portfolio Management. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. The firms said that customers like Swiss Re are using their combined offerings. Apptio is venture backed by Cisco Corp., Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners, Madrona Venture Group and Shasta Ventures.
