Bend Research In License Deal With Affinium Pharmaceuticals

Bend, Oregon-based Bend Research, which provides research and development in the drug formulation business, reported this morning that it has signed a licensing agreement with Affinium Pharmaceuticals. Financial details of the licensing deal were not disclosed, however, Bend Research said it has licensed its proprietary spray-dried dispersion (SDD) technology to Affinium. Bend Research explained that its' SDD technology helps improve the bioavailability of compounds with low aqueos solubility, something which is useful in creating oral formulations of drugs.
