FEI Acquires TILL Photonics

Hillsboro, Oregon-based FEI, a manufacturer of scientific instruments, said today that it has acquired German company TILL Photonics. TILL is a developer of high resolution, digital light microscopes and high speed imaging systems for live cell fluorescence microscopy. FEI said it paid approximately $20M, plus unspecified earn-out, for TILL. FEI said that TILL Photonics will have revenues of approximately $8M for calendar year 2011.
