Verdiem Gets Microsoft Nod

Seattle-based Verdiem, a developer of software for managing PC power consumption, disclosed this afternoon that the firm's SURVEYOR software has gained Microsoft's "Compatible with Windows 7" certification. The firm also said it has become a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. The certification is a program Microsoft runs to ensure that software works properly with Microsoft Windows 7. Verdiem's products are used in enterprises to manage their desktop PC power consumption, coordinating automatic shutdown of desktops and other PC power management settings. Verdiem is venture backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
