AboutUs Buys Jyte

Portland-based AboutUs, an online wiki-style site which allows people to add information about web sites, has acquired Jyte, the firm said Wednesday afternoon. Jyte operates an online site which allows users to debate various opinions and statements. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. As part of the deal, AboutUs said it will use Jyte's use of portable identity technology RPX as part of its own services. AboutUs is venture backed by Voyager Capital.
