Amazon.com Buys GraphIQ To Boost Alexa

Seattle-based Amazon.com has acquired GraphIQ, a startup developing visualization software, according to reports today. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. GraphIQ, which was based in Santa Barbara, California, will go to help Amazon with its Alexa efforts. GraphIQ was venture backed by New World Ventures, Montgomery & Co., Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and others. The company's founder, Kevin O'Connor, is a serial entrepreneur who also founded DoubleClick.
