Amazon Key Hack Shown Would Open Home To Dishonest Couriers

Nervous about Amazon's new program, Amazon Key, which lets couriers delivering packages for the e-commerce giant with access to your house without a key? Seattle area security researchers at Rhino Security Labs have demonstrated a flaw in Amazon Key's Cloud Cam, which would potentially allow a dishonest courier from entering your home multiple times--all without being caught on camera. The hack, which uses any computer within Wi-Fi range to force the Cloud Cam to only show a closed door, was documented in Wired in an article published on Thursday. Amazon reportedly is going to roll out a security fix to its software to address the flaw.
