Amazon Unveils Social Games Studio

Amazon.com is making a move into the social games world with the launch of a new game studio, Amazon Game Studio, the company unveiled Monday. Amazon said it has launched a new, social game, called Living Classics, and detailed its social game studio effort, which it says will focus on creating "innovative, fun, and well-crafted" games. Amazon says that it decided to start making social games, because many of its customer enjoy playing games, and that it believes it has the "know-how" to deliver titles consumers will want. The company's first title, Living Classics, is focused on a family of foxes wandering into animated illustrations of their favorite books.
