Avvo Enhances Doctor Searches

Seattle-based Avvo, the site which ranks lawyers and doctors, said today that it has enhanced its search for physicians on the site. The firm said it has added new sorting by hospitals, to make it easier for users to find physicians. The sort and search adds ability to find doctors with privileges at particular hospitals, in addition to filtering doctors by medical specialty. Avvo has been offering up searches and ratings of doctors since last fall. Avvo is headed by Mark Britton, and backed by Benchmark Capital, Ignition Partners and DAG Ventures.
