Big Mergers and Acquisitions Up In Q2

A new report from Ernst & Young this finds that big merger and acquisition deals were up in Q2. According to the report, there were seven transactions valued at more than $1B, compared with only two deals over $1B in Q1. The report also found that overall deal value increased 32 percent year over year, to $30.8 billion. In terms of deal count, there were 628 deals, roughly the same as Q1.
