Blab Nabs $8.8M

Seattle-based Blab, a developer of predictive analytics software aimed at social conversations, said this morning that it has raised $8.8M in a funding round, the initial close on an ongoing $11.6M funding for the company. The Series B Preferred funding was co-led by Chinese company Blue Focus Communications Group Co. LTD and SHoreline Venture Management, and also included Operative Capital. Blab said the funds go towards accelerating product development, sales, and marketing. Blab is led by Randy Browning.
