Black Pixel Relaunches NetNewsWire

Are you one of those Mac or iOS users who really loved the NetNewWire RSS reader? Well, an all-new NetNewsWire has been released by Black Pixel, the Seattle-based software developer which acquired NetNewsWire back in 2011. According to Black Pixel, the updated version of NetNewswire features a new user experience, "solid" engineering, and a new, modern take on the new reader app, andd runs on both iPhone and OS X. The iPhone version costs $3.99, and the Mac version costs $9.99. Black Pixel said it will roll out iPad and iOS 9 support later in the month. Black Pixel acquired NetNewsWire from NewsGator back in 2011, when that firm decided to focus on enterprise customers. The app had languished in the shadow of the free, Google Reader RSS software, until Google suddenly lost interest in the market in 2013.
