Cray Ships Multi-Cabinet Supercomputer

Seattle-based supercomputer maker Cray announced today that it has shipped its first, multi-cabinet Cray XE6 supercomputer. The firm said the shipment went out in June, but did not disclose the name of the specific customer for the supercomputer. Cray's XE6 supercomputer is the firm's next generation supercomputing system, based on the AMD Opteron processor.
