Cray Wins $80M Saudi Contract

Seattle-based supercomputer developer Cray reported a big win this morning, via a $80 million contract with Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Cray said it will provide multiple Cray systems, including a Cray CX40, Cray Sonexion 2000 storage system, Cray's Tiered Adaptive Storage (TAS) system and a Cray Urika-GD graph analytics appliance. Cray said the deal is its first in the Middle East in nearly 20 years.
