Cray Wins Three Supercomputing Contracts

Seattle-based Cray reported on Tuesday that it has scored three new contracts for its supercomputers including a system for Kyoto University in Japan, the Center for Modelling and Simulation in Bristol, United Kingdom, and Argonne National Laboratory in the United States. Financial impact of the separate deals were not announced. The deals include a Cray XC40, two Cray CS400's, a Cray Urika-GX, and the company's DataWarp applications I/O accelerator. The company said the XC40 and CS400's at Kyoto University will be delivered in the second half of 2016; delivery dates for the other systems were not announced.
