Digimarc Wins Four-Year, $24M Contract

Digimarc Corp., a provider of secure identification documents, revealed Wednesday that it has won a four-year, $24 million contract to supply Mexico’s federal election system with tens of millions of voter identification credentials. Digimarc said the new contract extends its relationship with the Instituto Federal Electoral de Mexico. During its previous four-year commitment, Digimarc provided the agency with more than 38 million voter ID cards. Digimarc explained that the photo ID cards are issued to eligible voters for local and federal elections and are used as the primary form of identity for most of Mexico’s citizens. Digimarc is headquartered in Beaverton, Ore.
