Doxo Gets Backing Of Former OpenTable CEO

Seattle-based doxo, the provider of online billing and bill management services headed by Steve Shivers, said this morning that Thomas Layton, the former CEO of OpenTable, participated in the firm's latest venture capital funding round. Doxo said yesterday that it had raised $10M in a Series B investment round. Layton joins the company's board of directors as part of the investment. Layton was the CEO of OpenTable from 2001 to 2007. Doxo raised $10M in its latest round, which included Sigma Partners, Mohr Davidow Ventures, and Bezos Expeditions. Doxo also said this week that it has added Puget Sound Energy to its list of customers. Doxo said that PSE will allow customers to receive, pay, and file their PSE bills using the online service.
