Elemental Technologies Names COO

Portland-based Elemental Technologies, which is developing massively parallel, video processing products, said today that it has named Lyman Potts as Chief Operating Officer of the company. Potts joins Elemental from Fios, where he was COO and ACFO. Prior to Fios, Potts also served at LaCie Ltd. Elemental said the addition of Potts will bring "valuable leadership" to its executive team. Elemental is applying graphics processing units (GPUs) to massively parallel video processing and conversion, including Internet video encoding, adaptive bit rate distribution, and other digital media workflow.
